HOW LONG DOES INVISALIGN TREATMENT TAKE?
It varies according to each individual patient. On average, treatment takes anywhere from 6-15 months.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WEAR MY CLEAR ALIGNERS EACH DAY?
For the most effective results, Dr. Alborzi recommends that you wear your aligners every day, all day.
The only time you should take them out is for eating, cleaning, brushing, and flossing.
IS IT PAINFUL?
No, but some patients experience minor discomfort for the first few days of wearing a new set of aligners.
This is normal, and an indication that your teeth are moving as intended. The discomfort should not last more than just a few days.
WILL THE ALIGNERS AFFECT HOW I TALK?
The aligners can potentially affect some people’s ability to speak normally. Although, after some time spent getting used to having the aligners in your mouth, any problems with speaking clearly should disappear.
AM I ALLOWED TO EAT WHATEVER I WANT?
Dr. Alborzi does not recommend certain foods and treats, like gum. However, you CAN eat whatever you want. Dr. Alborzi only recommends that you take out your aligners while eating, then brush them before putting them on again.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY CLEAR ALIGNERS?
Dr. Alborzi recommends the Invisalign cleaning kit. You can also clean your aligners by brushing and rinsing them in warm water.
HOW OFTEN ARE CHECK-UPS?
Typically, you will visit Dr. Alborzi every six weeks to see how your treatment is going.
