The first step towards a healthier smile
At our two convenient office locations, you’ll be greeted warmly when you arrive. Dr. Alborzi will perform an oral examination and take X-rays if required. We’ll also use our iTero scanner to take digital images of your teeth and provide a simulation of your final results. This will give you a thorough understanding of what you can expect from your treatment. While observing your teeth, gums, and mouth, she may also ask if you’ve had any problems with chewing, swallowing, or opening and closing your mouth. The information obtained from your history, exam, and images will allow Dr. Alborzi to make an accurate diagnosis and recommend the best course of treatment for your smile.

What types of treatment are available?
Alborzi Orthodontics offers a wide variety of orthodontic treatments available to patients of all ages, including traditional metal braces and clear aligner therapy.
Invisalign clear aligners
The Invisalign system uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable trays that straighten your teeth like braces. The aligners are made from SmartTrack material that is strong and durable. Invisalign aligners are invisible and removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Brushing and flossing are also less of a hassle with Invisalign. At Alborzi Orthodontics, over 85% of our patients choose Invisalign, from age 7 to age 70!
Damon Metal Braces
The Damon system of metal braces feature lighter, more comfortable brackets made of high-grade surgical stainless steel. Damon braces straighten your teeth, on average, 40% faster than traditional braces. This unique braces system eliminates the need for elastics, putting less friction on your teeth and providing an overall more comfortable braces experience.
Clear Braces
Sometimes called ceramic braces, this option works like metal braces but is made of clear materials and therefore a more subtle option. For this reason, ceramic braces are used mainly on older teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns. While they are visually less prominent, they do require more attention to oral hygiene as ceramic braces are larger and are more brittle than their metal counterparts. For these reasons, ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper front teeth than on lower teeth.

What happens next?
Once you’ve decided on a treatment plan with Dr. Alborzi, we’ll schedule an appointment for you to receive your new orthodontic appliance and start the active phase of treatment. Depending on the type of appliance you have, you can expect follow-up visits with us every 4-8 weeks or so. At these appointments, Dr. Alborzi will adjust your appliance if necessary and check that your teeth are moving safely and healthily.
These visits are an essential part of your orthodontic treatment, so you mustn’t miss them! We do our best to schedule you for a day and time that’s convenient for you, but we understand that life doesn’t always keep with our plans! If you’re running late or can’t make your appointment for any reason, just let us know as soon as possible and we can reschedule your appointment for another day. This will help keep your treatment plan progressing as it should be.
